台積電(TSM.US) 有9名工程師涉嫌外洩技術，已被即時解僱，當中3名工程師被當地法院裁定羈押禁見；相關員工涉嫌竊取與公司最先進2納米晶片工藝相關的商業機密。
A former engineer previously worked in TSMC's system integration department, according to Taiwanese media. After leaving TSMC, he joined Japanese chip equipment manufacturer Tokyo Electron (8035.JP) as an equipment engineer.
He collaborated with familiar engineers to take photos of confidential process flow chart on screens using a mobile phone, while two incumbent engineers provided over 700 and nearly 300 process technology photos respectively.
